My Free verse poem

MY MUSHROOM

I found a tiny mushroom today.
He sits when I tell him to. Plop! Oh don't hurt yourself.
He is like a red plate with tiny potatoes.
He sleeps silently so someone does not cry.
I never want to say goodbye.
He sleeps like my dad when he does not snore.
Waaaa and does not cry like a baby.
He is a cute mushroom.
He jumps like a jumpy, jellybean jumping.
He even likes to do some pumping.
Oh! He can lie down like a dog.
Zoom! He runs very fast.
He likes to sleep in his blue bed.
We can never wait for the next day.
We sleep so silently so the next day comes and we can play.

My Onomatopoeia poem

We have been learning about Onomatopoeia. Onomatopoeia is when a sound describes what you are saying. I made my own poem and I included onomatopoeia and this is how it goes.

My Morning.

My alarm goes of beep, beep, beep.
I get out of bed push, push, plop.
I walk down the stairs clip, clop, clip, clop.
I make my breakfast pour, pour, pour.
I get my uniform on.
Pip, pip, pip goes the buttons.
I pack my lunch plop, plop, plop.
I put my bag and lunchbox in the car bang, bang, bang.
We are going to school vroom, vroom, vroom.
We are at school yeah, yeah, yeah.
The music is on ding, ding, ding.
We play with blocks plop, plop, plop.
The teacher tells us to sit on the floor.
We are talking bla, bla, bla.
The teachers tell us to be quiet shh, shh, shh.
The day begins!

Straw tower

We have been learning about structures. We looked at some slides of some structures like bridges, towers and buildings and we learnt that the base is important. We had a group of three people and together we worked together to make a tower of straws with a flat top. We could only use 30 straws, 60cm of tape, a ruler and some scissors. We had to make a plan and my group made about three plans. It was very hard to think of a plan and then follow out our plan, but it was fun. This is a picture of my groups straw tower.
